Important information for applicants
Students who are applying for entry into a health care profession where practicum and/or field training is required for certification or licensure, need to be advised that they will have to pass a drug screen as well as a criminal history check (CHC) as a condition of their acceptance into a medical, dental or community facility.
It is the full responsibility of the applicant to notify their program department should any contact information change (i.e. phone number, address, email). Failure to comply with this requirement may prevent admission.
Program requirements, selection criteria, application procedures, deadlines, as well as strategies to improve your admission prospects are some of the topics covered at an information session. The sessions last approximately one hour, including a 15 minute Q&A session. (Presenters are not able to meet with students one-on-one following the presentation. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and will learn how to prepare for and schedule an advising appointment with a health admissions advisor.) Information sessions are not required in order to apply to PCC’s allied health programs, however they are strongly encouraged.
