"Politics is the study of who gets what, when, where and why."Robert Dahl

Political Science is an excellent foundation for a liberal arts, college transfer degree. Political Science majors often continue in careers that include becoming lawyers, political consultants, teachers, political office holders, and others engaged in the political realm. Those who undertake the study of politics are encouraged to actively engage in impacting policy making, as well informed voters, lobbyists, advocates associated with social change movements, and others concerned about justice issues.

Transferable Credits

Although PCC does not offer a degree in Political Science, the classes are lower division collegiate courses that transfer to a four-year college or university. Political Science courses may transfer as:

  • Elective credits
  • Program requirement credits
  • and/or graduation requirements for the receiving institution

Students are encouraged to check with the receiving institution, a PCC academic advisor, and the University Transfer website for the most accurate transfer requirement information.
