Why choose American Sign Language at PCC?
Portland Community College American Sign Language (ASL) instructors use state-of-the-art teaching methods. Classes are taught completely in ASL; no voice is used in class, allowing you the best opportunity to develop your skills in both using and understanding ASL.
Our instructors are active members of the local Deaf community. Our curriculum is approved by the national American Sign Language Teachers Association, a division of the National Association of the Deaf.
