AS Degree Writing Requirement
Postponed until April’s Meeting

Last 16 credits, in which 8 credits have to be at PCC. This applies to the AS, AAOT, AGS, and ASOT in Business degree requirements. This requirement doesn’t apply to AAS degrees. Students generally appeal the denial, which we override. Degrees and Certificates would like to give the BA SAC time to discuss their views and opinions regarding the requirement as it affects the ASOT-Business degree at the April meetings.
Jennifer Bowers moved and Loretta Goldy seconded to remove the final 16 credits, of which 8 have to be taken at PCC for the AS, AAOT, and AGS Degrees. Motion carried.

Update on merging A/B and Gen Ed Lists and General Education Requirements for all degrees
Susanne presented the work she and the Curriculum Committee Chair, Kendra Cawley, have done to merge the AAOT and GenED lists into one. The list will be called: General Education Distribution Requirements for PCC Degrees
