Video Production Instructor Qualifications

Video Production Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast journalism, Film and Television, Instructional Technology or related area or a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts with a minimum of 30 upper division credits in Telecommunications, Film/Theatre Arts, Instructional Technology, or Communication required.
  • Full time experience performing the duties of the job may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Three years of recent professional experience, producing television and video productions required. Experience must include: organizing, managing and scheduling production crews and planning and executing client projects within budget. Expertise in all technical areas is also required.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of TV production equipment, both field and studio.
  • Demonstrated experience in solving production problems independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate an instructional program, develop curriculum, concurrently handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
