DRF – Drafting Technology and Design Instructor Qualifications ARCHIVE

CADD Instructor Qualifications prior to April 2018 (DRF Courses)

AAS Degree in either Drafting Technology or Engineering Technology (unless otherwise specified for individual courses).
Five years recent technical experience in mechanical or related design is required.

  • DRF 126 Introduction to AutoCAD
  • DRF 136 Intermediate AutoCAD
  • DRF 185 Inventor Fundamentals
  • DRF 246 AutoCAD 3D – Solid Modeling
  • DRF 256 Advanced AutoCAD
  • DRF 270 SolidWorks Fundamentals
  • DRF 271 SolidWorks Advanced
  • DRF 285 Inventor Advanced

General Requirement, plus professional competency in software taught.

Demonstrated competence for Drafting Technology is determined on a course-by-course basis. For each course, the instructor must have the requisite academic body of knowledge (via transcripts or formal presentation to committee), and possess five years of professional experience. Experience may include both journeyman or supervisory responsibility in the field.
