MP – Medical Professions Instructor Qualifications

MP 108: Healthcare Career Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in a medical, allied health, or applied behavioral science
  • Knowledge of career opportunities and requirements in the health field
  • Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization

MP 111: Medical Terminology

  • Bachelor’s degree in a medical or allied health discipline
  • Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization

MP113: Healthcare Provider CPR/AED, First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens

  • Degree or certificate from a nationally accredited or state-approved program in
    the field of EMT, Paramedic, Nursing, or other healthcare discipline
  • Required American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor certification
  • Completion of AHA Bloodborne Pathogens Training
  • Completion of AHA First Aid Training
  • Completion of AHA BLS Provider Training
  • Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization

MP 135: Pharmacology for Allied Health

  • Master’s degree or higher in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Nursing Practice (NP), Physician Assistant Studies (PA), or other healthcare discipline including significant pharmacology coursework
  • Three (3) years of professional experience in a healthcare facility or organization involving direct responsibility for medication management, prescribing, or collaborative drug therapy decisions (e.g., pharmacist, physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant)

MP 140: Intro to Health Law and Ethics

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a medical or allied health field or a law degree (Juris Doctor)
  • Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization
