MP – Medical Professions Instructor Qualifications
MP 108: Healthcare Career Essentials
- Bachelor’s degree in a medical, allied health, or applied behavioral science
- Knowledge of career opportunities and requirements in the health field
- Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization
MP 111: Medical Terminology
- Bachelor’s degree in a medical or allied health discipline
- Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization
MP113: Healthcare Provider CPR/AED, First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens
- Degree or certificate from a nationally accredited or state-approved program in
the field of EMT, Paramedic, Nursing, or other healthcare discipline - Required American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Instructor certification
- Completion of AHA Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Completion of AHA First Aid Training
- Completion of AHA BLS Provider Training
- Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization
MP 135: Pharmacology for Allied Health
- Master’s degree or higher in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Nursing Practice (NP), Physician Assistant Studies (PA), or other healthcare discipline including significant pharmacology coursework
- Three (3) years of professional experience in a healthcare facility or organization involving direct responsibility for medication management, prescribing, or collaborative drug therapy decisions (e.g., pharmacist, physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant)
MP 140: Intro to Health Law and Ethics
- Bachelor’s Degree in a medical or allied health field or a law degree (Juris Doctor)
- Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization
