Developmental Education Instructor Qualifications
Developmental Education Requirements:
Instructor Developmental Education
- Instructors in the area of Developmental Education must meet one of the following requirements: Master’s Degree in appropriate educational field ( for example, special/ developmental/ adult education, reading, math English) AND recent experience working with disadvantaged students (DE Math and English) OR
- Have a high level of demonstrable competency gained through a combination of study, teaching experience, and/ or professional performance in the subject area (DE English) OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Math Ed of Ed with a math emphasis AND three years equivalent full-time teaching experience in mathematics within grades 6-16 (DE Math)
