AB - Automotive Collision Instructor Qualifications
AB Requirements:
Auto Collision Repair/Painting Instructor
- Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- ASE Certification in all applicable areas
- Preferred Education: Teacher preparation coursework
- Associate Degree in Auto Collision Repair
I-CAR Certification
- (5) years current full-time on-line technical in auto collision repair. Some technical knowledge of painting, and current experience in teaching auto collision repair/painting full-time at an accredited institution. With evidence of the ability to perform auto collision repair/painting operations in accordance with current industry standards.
- Required Experience: Five Preferred Experience: Previous experience teaching elements of auto collision repair/painting and supervisory experience in the auto collision repair/painting industry.
- Applicants who do not have an educational background in professional technical or vocational education may be required to take courses in this area during the first three years of employment.

Auto Collision Repair Technology Instructor
- Work Experience: Five years, full-time on-line experience that relates to the subject area. Certifications: ASE certification for the area of instruction. If applicant does not have ASE certification, they are required to obtain certification within nine months of their hire date.
