Instructor Qualifications for SP Prior to January 2010:
SP Instructor Qualifications Requirements:
- Interdisciplinary degrees that include a minimum of 30 graduate credits in Speech Communication;
- Any related Communications Master’s degree (i.e., Telecommunications or Mass Communications) to teach related courses.
Speech instructor degree requirements:

Speech Instructors Qualifications Requirements:
- Must have a Master’s degree in Speech Communication OR a related area with at least 30 credit hours of Speech Communication.
