- Arch 100: Introduction to Architecture (4 credits)
- Arch 180, 181: Beginning Design Studio (12 credits)
- Admission to the Beginning Design Studio sequence is competitive and determined by an application process involving faculty review of each student's academic record and a statement of intent. Arch 180, 181 must be taken at PSU.
- Portfolio Review/Selected Admissions
- Arch 230, 231, 232: Architectural & Cultural History (12 credits)

- Arch 350, 351: Architectural Structures (8 credits)
- Arch 360, 361: Architectural Building Technology (8 credits)
- Arch 380, 381, 382: Architectural Design Studio (18 credits)
- 18 credits of Advisor Approved Electives
All students must obtain an advisor for academic planning of their program; apply through the department office.
Most states require that an individual who wants to become a licensed architect hold an accredited professional degree in architecture. For PSU graduates, the logical next step is to complete a two-year Master of Architecture. PSU graduates are accepted and complete their professional education at some of the most prestigious schools and universities across the nation, and overseas.
Architecture courses taken under the undifferentiated grading option (pass/no pass) will not be accepted toward fulfilling department major requirements. All courses used to satisfy the departmental major requirements, whether taken in the department or elsewhere, must be graded C- or better.
Additional Requirements
To see how you will transfer into PSU's University Studies program, refer to the General Education link. We highly encourage you to talk with a PCC Academic Advisor to learn more about meeting PSU's general education and bachelor degree requirements.
PCC endeavors to create accurate transfer guides for students; however, requirements may change without notice. Students are responsible for working with PCC advisors and their transfer institution to ensure that their academic plan will meet requirements and timelines.
