DEADLINE: Completed applications plus all required documentation due at the Department of Nursing NO LATER THAN 5:00 PM ON September 30th.
Admission into the nursing major is very competitive.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 required. This includes all transfer courses.
In order for admission into the nursing major, the following criteria MUST be met and included with the application:
- Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
- Two Essays
- Two Recommendation and Appraisal forms
- Health Certification Requirements
- CPR Certification
40 students are admitted each SPRING SEMESTER (January) sophomore year.
Admission to the nursing major is very competitive, and meeting the admission criteria does not assure acceptance into the program.
Transfer Students:
Priority for admission into the nursing major will be given to students who have attended George Fox for a minimum of 2 semesters. On average, each entering class has included 10 transfer students. It is strongly recommended that you contact the nursing department advisor prior to application.
One must be admitted to George Fox University before applying to the nursing major. Please apply to the university at least one month prior to applying to the nursing department to assure ample processing time. This process is completely separate from the nursing application and should be treated as such. Contact the Admissions Office for more information.
There is a $50.00 non-refundable nursing application fee, this is in addition to the university application fee.
PCC endeavors to create accurate transfer guides for students; however, requirements may change without notice. Students are responsible for working with PCC advisors and their transfer institution to ensure that their academic plan will meet requirements and timelines.
