Transfer articulation agreements

Transfer articulation agreements are formal agreements that give PCC students extra benefits when transferring to another school, beyond what is usually offered. In the past, career technical programs, like PCC’s Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees, didn’t transfer to universities. But now, many of these programs have agreements that allow students to transfer into bachelor’s degree programs. Below are the options for transferring from some of PCC’s career technical AAS programs!

Students (current and future): make an appointment with your PCC advisor to discuss your options and make a transfer plan.

OHSU

Eligible PCC AAS Degree Transfers to Notes
Nursing BS in Nursing An agreement with the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education allows licensed registered nurses to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through OHSU.

Pacific Northwest College of Art

Portland State University

Eligible PCC AAS Degrees Transfers to Notes
Early Childhood Education BA or BS in Child, Youth, and Family Services PSU accepts 80 credits toward the degree. Students with the AAS will have completed the required specialization. See the PSU transfer guide.
Exercise Science BA or BS in Applied Health and Fitness PSU articulation agreement
Graphic Design BFA in Graphic Design There is not a formal agreement, however students with the AAS will have completed all or most of the required lower-division courses. Students still need to pass the PSU Portfolio review to be officially admitted to the PSU Graphic Design major. See the PSU transfer guide.
