Grounds
The Grounds Department’s mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, and pleasant outdoor environment for students and the Portland Community College community through the care and maintenance of campus grounds. The department is committed to enhancing campus landscapes while protecting and preserving the natural environment. The fifteen member team maintains over 400 acres of grounds and outdoor learning spaces across the district. Services include landscape design and construction, irrigation installation, lawn and sports turf care, horticultural practices, stormwater system maintenance, water conservation initiatives, campus forestry operations, equipment maintenance, snow removal, and Integrated Pest Management.
PCC is a designated Bee Campus USA (the fourth in the country) and a recognized Tree Campus Higher Education institution.
