Coordinated Campus Advisory Council

Who we are

PCC’s Coordinated Campus Advisory Council (Council) is a group of leaders from both the college and the community, including educators, advocates, and public safety professionals. We work together to improve PCC’s response to sexual violence, dating/domestic violence, and stalking (gender-based violence), including prevention and education programming.

Mission

Our mission is to create safe and supportive environments for all students. We do this by:

  • Following trauma-informed and student-centered practices
  • Listening to those most affected by violence
  • Working to change harmful cultural norms

Purpose

The purpose of the Council is to provide recommendations to the designated Steering Committee on best and promising practices to respond to and prevent violence in our community. This includes:

  • Initiatives that are rooted in primary prevention strategies
  • Confidential Advocacy Services that are culturally responsive and holistic
  • Title IX and Clery processes that are trauma-informed and center around the needs of students
  • Training and collaboration with the Department of Public Safety
  • Continued development of the Council in order to meet current and future needs related to gender-based violence.

Guiding Values of the Coordinated Campus Advisory Council
