Mail, shipping, and delivery requirements

CDS mail and package delivery notice

Beginning Spring Term 2022, regular mail service will resume to all campuses Monday – Friday on the schedule below. This includes pickup and delivery of postal and inter-campus mail.

  • Sylvania: 7:30-11:30am
  • Rock Creek: 12:30-4pm
  • Cascade: 7:30-11:30am
  • Southeast: 12:30-4pm

Packages, supplies, and equipment will continue to be delivered to the campuses:

  • Tuesday: Sylvania and Rock Creek Campuses
  • Thursday: Cascade and Southeast Campuses

Downtown Center mail and pick-up will have a revised schedule as follows:

  • Monday: 9am delivery and 1pm delivery and pickup
  • Tuesday: 9am delivery and 1pm delivery and pickup
  • Thursday: 9am delivery and 1pm delivery and pickup

All deliveries should continue to be directed to the CDS warehouse (PCC – recipient’s last name and campus; 6713 SW Bonita Rd. Bldg. C Suite 200; Portland, OR 97224) to ensure packages are signed for by CDS personnel and logged into our system, indicating items have been received.

All shipments of refrigerated or frozen items, large equipment, or special deliveries must first be coordinated with Carlo DeMarco, CDS Manager. Please contact Carlo DeMarco, CDS Manager, for questions or special instructions: at carlo.demarco@pcc.edu or 971-722-7250.

Mail services include

  • Inter-campus mail pickup and delivery: Always include the recipient’s name and mail stop Example: Jim Smith SY CC – 123
  • U.S. Mail pickup and delivery
    • Types of specialized mail services include: overnight, priority, certified, and parcel post.
    • Bundle all outgoing U.S. Mail together and place the department name or three-digit index code on the top piece.
    • Please use PCC’s official address on all PCC-related correspondence.

    • Check out the U.S. Postal Service web page, where you can do a ZIP code lookup, check address verification and standardization, and check priority mail prices and other useful information.
    • All U.S. outgoing Mail picked up that day is delivered to the Post Office the same day.
  • Bulk mail: Bulk mail is mailings of 200 pieces or more weighing less than 16 ounces, processed in such a manner as to achieve greater postal discounts. If you are planning to submit a bulk mailing, please contact 971-722-7708 for direction.

Package shipping and delivery requirements

  • All packages must be shipped to the CDS Warehouse. With the exception of hazardous materials, e.g., chemicals for labs, hazardous labeled products, and “live” specimens. These products must be shipped directly to the ordering department. For more information please contact Carlo De Marco, Central Distribution Services Manager.   • When completing a requisition, all orders including district-wide deliveries need to be itemized in the Document Text in addition to the following information:
    • Contact name and phone number
    • Campus location, including building and room number
    • Specific items to be delivered to each location
    • The quantity of the items to be delivered to each location
  • Shipping services include Domestic or International shipment of mail and packages with tracking by UPS and FedEx. Additional insurance can be added to cover potential damage or loss at your discretion.
  • For assistance in filing freight claims or tracking lost or missing equipment, call 971-722-7104.
  • We will accept personal items shipped to the warehouse as a courtesy, however, you need to notify the clerk at 971-722-7104 prior to shipment and pick up your item at the warehouse.
