Academic advisors are here to help you reach your goals. They can help with:

  • Academic planning: Build a class plan for your next term or your full program
  • Degree or certificate requirements: Understand what’s needed to complete your degree or certificate
  • Prerequisite overrides: Request permission to take a class when you haven’t met the listed requirements yet
  • Transfer credits: Review your transcripts (official or unofficial)
  • Academic standing: Check your status and make a plan for improvement
  • Navigate360: Use your personal portal for making advising appointments

Make an appointment

calendar check Students who are currently taking classes can make an appointment with their assigned advisor. Appointments fill up quickly before each term, so plan ahead. You can book up to four weeks in advance. You can also email your advisor.

New students for Winter 2026

New students will be assigned an advisor starting October 6.

Check your MyPCC email for updates on your assigned advisor.

Before your first advising appointment:

If no appointments are available, you can ask a question online or if you’re attending college for the first time you can sign up for a New Student Registration Session.

F-1 international students: Your requirements are different. Contact OISS for information about orientation and advising for new international students.

If you’ve taken classes at another college, be sure to send your official transcripts to PCC.  After PCC receives your transcripts, request a transfer credit evaluation so those credits count toward your degree or certificate.

How to connect with an advisor

1. Find your advisor

Open your MyPCC Home screen to learn your advisor’s name. Just scroll down and look for the box titled My Advisor.

2. Make an appointment or email your advisor

If you’re enrolled or admitted for an upcoming term, you can make an appointment in Navigate360. Appointments fill up quickly before each term starts, so plan ahead. You can book up to four weeks in advance. If you prefer, you can email your advisor anytime. Find them by name in the staff directory.

3. Confirm your appointment

Double check your details and click the Confirm button at the bottom of the page. You can choose a text or email reminder, too. Be sure to review your Appointment Notification to confirm your advisor’s in-person location.

4. Get ready for your appointment

Your advisor is here to help you map your classes, explore transfer options, learn about requirements, and build a plan to reach your goals. You’ll get the most out of your time if you bring a list of questions you want to ask.

5. Reach out if plans change

Meeting with an advisor is critical for many students. So if the unexpected happens, email your advisor, or cancel and reschedule in Navigate360, preferably with 48 hours’ notice so somebody else can use the time.

6. At your appointment

Once you’ve confirmed a few details, your advisor will focus on the things you’d like answered. You’ll learn how to spot the opportunities and challenges along your academic path, and map-out how to get there in the way that best fits your life.
