American Sign Language (ASL), which originated in the early 19th century and has many related dialects around the world, has become a lingua franca. Participate in one of our five classes, and learn vocabulary, fingerspelling and grammar—as well as related gestures and facial expressions for conversational use. Also explore aspects of deaf culture.
