Irmãos Lora performing live on December 1

Portland Community College’s Experience Music Series will present Irmãos Lora, one of the most exciting and creative musical duos performing today, live from Brazil in a virtual concert on Tuesday, December 1 at 1:30 pm. There is no charge to view the concert, but donations to the series are gratefully accepted.
Irmãos Lora (the Lora Brothers) is a duo from São Paulo, Brazil featuring composer, guitarist, and educator Douglas Lora and composer, percussionist, and educator Alexandre Lora. The duo has a long history of performing together with the choro ensembles Caraivana and the Grammy- nominated Trio Brasileiro (with mandolin virtuoso Dudu Maia).
This new project brings together the brothers’ experiences as jazz virtuosos, classically-trained musicians, their accomplished compositions, and their love of Brazilian music, all in a warm, entertaining, and charismatic presentation.
