Paragon Arts Gallery at PCC Cascade presents Remember the Future – Forget the Past (Remember the Past – Forget the Future) by Liz Ensz. Employing the commemorative properties of textiles and metals and combining their contradictory and complementary properties of ephemerality and permanence, Ensz questions what we, as a culture, choose to remember, and what we choose to forget.

Remember the Future – Forget the Past (Remember the Past – Forget the Future) ruminates on the human impulse to imagine our permanence through self-celebrating monuments and be simultaneously invested in capitalist theology and a self-destructive culture of disposability.
