Open classroom discussions can be daunting to navigate when students can (and do) say anything, including statements that make others uncomfortable. If “they said what?” crosses your mind and you’re not sure what to do next, this presentation will provide clarity on Freedom of Expression and PCC policy through an interactive presentation and case study analysis. With an understanding of acceptable behaviors and response options, attendees will gain confidence in addressing concerning language and behaviors in the classroom.
