Higher (order) Education: The Role of Colleges in Teaching the Cyborg Student

Summary
We can get lost in questions such as “how do we assess students now that LLMs exist?” and “how do we make sure students do the work?” but there’s a far scarier question to answer: in a world ofi incredible autodidactic tools, what do we still offer students? This talk will argue that higher-educational institutions remain desperately important as social & epistemic scaffolding, no matter how advanced knowledge automation becomes.
