Nursing Centralized Application Service (NCAS) application
(required, all phases)
Applications are processed through a third-party vendor called Nursing Centralized Application Service, or “NCAS”. Applicants will complete their PCC Nursing program application and attach all supporting documents through the NCAS system. Application deadline details can be found on the application page.
All email notifications will be sent to the email designated while creating your NCAS account. Applicants are responsible for checking this email regularly throughout the admissions process.
Transcripts
(required, Phase I)
Submit official, electronic transcripts from all colleges attended, including PCC, directly to NCAS.
Ordering transcripts
All transcripts, including PCC transcripts, should be sent directly to NCAS. Electronic PCC transcripts can be ordered (via Parchment) through MyPCC. For electronic transcript ordering details, please visit the PCC’s request a transcript page. Each transfer course is subject to review by the PCC Student Records Office, the Nursing Department, and/or the Admissions Team to determine transfer equivalency.
Prior to applying, applicants should send transcripts from other institutions to PCC for an official evaluation.
- Student Records will evaluate lower-division collegiate coursework. Upper-division coursework is evaluated upon request. We do not recommend you ask Student Records to evaluate all your upper-division coursework, just the courses you intend to use as prerequisites for the Nursing program.
When to send transcripts
Send transcripts at least two weeks before the deadline. NCAS takes 7–10 business days to post transcripts, and transcripts must be posted by the deadline. See how to check your transcript status. You may submit transcripts prior to completing your NCAS application. If you are currently enrolled in prerequisite courses during fall term, it is imperative that you wait until grades have been posted before ordering your transcript to be sent to NCAS.
Schools with paper transcripts
If your school does not send electronic transcripts, please provide your registrar with your individual transcript request form found in the NCAS transcript section. The transcript request form will include your NCAS identification number, which will ensure efficiency when linking your paper transcripts to your electronic NCAS application. Professional transcript entry
NCAS offers professional transcript entry for an additional fee. This is called the Professional Transcript Entry (PTE). We do not recommend using PTE as it can contribute to your application being late and rendered ineligible, as NCAS is not monitoring program-specific deadlines. If using PTE, we recommend submitting your application at least 6 weeks prior to the application deadline. NCAS is not responsible if you miss important deadlines – see the “turnaround times” section for important transcript entry policy details.
Foreign transcripts
If you have foreign transcripts, you must have an official transcript evaluation sent to NCAS. See the list of foreign evaluation vendors.
Application fee
(required, Phase I)
NCAS fee: The cost to submit your PCC application through NCAS is $70 for the first undergraduate program and $55 for each additional program application. This non-refundable fee is paid directly to NCAS and is due each application year.
Panel interview
(required, Phase II)
Applicants should ensure they have a good understanding of the roles and duties of a registered Nurse. In addition, being practiced in talking about yourself in front of multiple panelists is recommended. Having clear examples of why you are interested in the nursing program, what experiences you have that will set you apart from the other applicants, and the NCAS application will be available in December.
Health Sciences Reasoning Test – Associate Degree (HSRT-AD)
(required, Phase II)
The HSRT-AD is a critical thinking exam, which makes it difficult to study for. Most of the questions are situational and may have more than one correct answer. You can read more about the HSRT-AD on the Insight Assessment FAQ page under the “Testing and Administration” section. Applicants usually have 50 minutes to complete the exam and are assessed based on how they answer the questions rather than the completion of the test.

Healthcare credential verification form
(if applicable, Phase I)
To earn points for healthcare licenses or credentials, submit the healthcare credential verification form with your NCAS application. All credentials are considered on a case-by-case basis by the admissions committee. There is no expiration or minimum number of practice hours required. Applicants must provide copies of professional credentials. Applicants must provide copies of professional credentials. Acceptable proof of credentials must come from a professional credentialing body such as the OSBN, ARRT, OVMEB, ADA, Etc. Diplomas or certificates of completion are not acceptable forms of professional credentials. All supporting documents must be translated into English and uploaded to your NCAS application. Failure to upload the form and provide supporting documentation will impact consideration for experience points.

The following healthcare certifications have been approved by the Nursing program for the 2026 application cycle. Domestic and international certifications will be considered. This list gets updated annually and was last updated in August 2025.
If you already possess a certification that is not on this list, email the certification name, credentialing body, and job description to admissions@pcc.edu.

Healthcare experience form
(if applicable, Phase I)
To earn points for healthcare experience, submit the healthcare experience form with your NCAS application. Experience hours must be completed by the end of fall term prior to the application deadline. International or domestic hours of healthcare experience will be considered. Paid or unpaid experience can be completed in a variety of settings. Some examples of acceptable settings can include, but are not limited to: a medical setting, home care, community health, health education, or military experience. All supporting documents must be translated into English and uploaded to your NCAS application. Healthcare experience points will not be awarded if the form is incomplete or supporting documentation is missing.

Service member experience form
(if applicable, Phase I)
To earn points for service, submit the service member experience form if you have served as an active or reserve member of the United States military, are a veteran of the United States military, or have served as an AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer.
- Service member experience form: Submit any documentation regarding military title, job duties, and length of service in that role, and honorable discharge papers (if applicable).
- Active US military and veterans: Submit the DD214, member 4 copy.
- Peace Corps volunteers: Provide a Certification of Service for Employment Purposes form. This document can be requested via the RPCV Portal. For more information, visit the returned Peace Corps volunteers website.
- AmeriCorps volunteers: If you are a current or former national service member and need a service verification letter, log in to the My AmeriCorps Portal.
Placement test scores
(if using scores to meet math competency, Phase I)
If you haven’t completed MTH 95 or a higher math course within the last 7 years, you can demonstrate math competency using the ALEKS math placement test. To be considered, you must place into MTH 105Z/111Z/211 and/or STAT 243Z by December 13, 2026. In 2027, other completed courses that can be used to meet this requirement include, but are not limited to, MTH 98, 105Z, 111Z, 112Z, or STAT 243Z. Starting in 2028, MTH98 and 105Z will no longer be accepted.
Important note: If you use the ALEKS placement exam to meet the admissions requirement, you will need to complete an additional general education elective to reach the required 45 course credits. Furthermore, using a placement exam for admission does not exempt you from fulfilling the math course requirements for the AAS degree.
Raw test scores are required and are evaluated using the PCC testing center’s placement guidelines. Upload a copy of your raw test scores with your application. Accepted file formats are MS Word (.doc, .docx), JPEG (.jpeg, .jpg), PNG (.png), Rich Text Format (.rtf), Portable Document Format (.pdf), and ASCII Text file (.txt). The size limit for each file upload is 5MB. Your ALEKS raw test score should look like this:
