Landscape Technology Entry Level, Career Pathway certificate

Whether you want to own your own business or work with an established company, landscape maintenance is an excellent entry point into the green industry. The LAT Entry Level Career Pathway certificate prepares you to step into a landscape maintenance position with confidence to identify and properly care for plants. This certificate creates the foundation to build industry-ready skills, explore career options, and further landscape education at PCC and beyond.
The Landscape Technology Entry Level Career Pathway certificate is a 17-credit certificate. Completing this certificate will create a foundation in:
- Basic plant identification
- Plant care
- Landscape math
- Sustainable landscape practices
You will be ready for an entry-level position in the industry. Learn more about careers in this field on the Landscape Industry Careers website.
All of the courses completed as part of this certificate will count towards additional certificates and degrees in the Landscape Technology program.

Most LAT classes are only offered once a year. First term corresponds to the fall term, second term to winter term, third term to spring term. Students may start the program at any time of the year. Please contact the LAT program advisor for more guidance.
Students may take the LAT Math Challenge Test to test out of LAT 236, Landscape Math. Please contact the LAT Department Chair, Jenn Peters, to learn more.
