Bank of America is once again stepping up to assist students in need.

Senior Vice President at Bank of America Monique Barton and Vice President at Bank of America Jessica Hewitt (pictured) presented the Portland Community College Foundation with a $15,000 grant for the Future Connect Scholarship Program. The money will help low-income and first-generation students from Portland, Beaverton and Hillsboro get scholarships, in-depth advising and college success coaching. Scholars are guided through college, all the way to completion of a certificate or degree.

In the past, the banking institution has donated to the college’s award-winning Career Pathways Program in 2012 and again in 2013, as well as led an workforce and manufacturing training roundtable discussion at the Swan Island Trades Center.
