Ancient Chinese Exercise Focus of PCC Class

PORTLAND – The ancient Chinese exercise known as Chi Gung will be taught in a 10-week non-credit class being offered spring term by Portland Community College.The class will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Mondays, April 2 through June 11, at Jackson Middle School, 10625 S.W. 35th Ave. The class will not meet on May 28. The cost is $40.Instructor Paul Brununzio will introduce students to the stress-releasing action of this ancient Chinese art of using chi, or energy, to guide breathing and relax the body and mind. Standing or sitting exercises will be included. Students should bring one large and one small cushion and wear loose, comfortable clothing.
