Cascade AIDS Project: Internship and Other Volunteer Roles in Support Services for People Living with HIV

Cascade AIDS Project is seeking an intern to assist clients living with HIV in our Service Center.

This intern will greet clients, determine reason for visit, make sure they sign-in and make them feel comfortable. They will work one-on-one with clients in seeking out goals: employment, housing, medical care, support groups and help connect them with other resources.

Other details: Help with computer, printer, coffee and general tidiness of the space.

Ideal candidates would be able to:

  • work with people from diverse backgrounds;
  • independently engage with clients;
  • assert professional boundaries with compassion;
  • work with populations that many people may find difficult;
  • have familiarity with government resources;
  • interest in adult education.

Strongly encouraged to apply: people of color, Spanish speakers, those with ASL skills, trans-identified, lived experience with HIV, those who have experience with refugee populations, domestic violence survivors, seniors.

Ten hours per week minimum commitment*.
Shift times flexible.
Located at 520 NW Davis St.
*This is also available as a volunteer role for someone interested in fewer than 10 hours per week.
