Watch this:  Welcome Video
Hello, my name is Irene Peñaloza. I am your teacher for the ESOL 20: Level 2 evening face-to-face class for the Spring of 2024.   Our first day of class will be on Monday, April 1st.
We will work and learn together in a classroom setting. We will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:00 – 8:50 pm.  Our classroom is Mt. Scott Hall Room 202.  Attendance is important, but I understand if you cannot come to class on time due to your work schedule. If you are sick with a cold, or your family is sick with cold and flu symptoms, please rest and stay home.  Text or email me if you are going to be absent.
You will need the textbook: ENGLISH IN ACTION, BOOK 2.  Please bring a notebook, pen, and binder on the first day of class.  I will give you lots of handouts for practicing grammar, we will watch, read, and listen to grammar videos, do online exercises, and write in our BlueBooks.  We will practice conversations and go over the lessons I assign weekly.  Don’t worry! We will have fun and learn a lot.
I will try to make it easy for you to understand the unit lessons, to be able to do your classwork, and to attend class.  I will email you our weekly lessons and homework, post them on my WebEasy page, as well as write the lessons and activities for the day on the board in our classroom.  Please make sure to check your email daily for more information about our class and other important announcements.
