What we will study this week:  We will look at Week 1 and Week 2 materials since classes have been cancelled last week.   CASAS testing for students on Friday 1/26.  Irene will let you know if you need to be tested; if you are not testing, you will just have regular computer class.

Quiz #1: Write 5 affirmative sentences using the BE verb in the simple present tense and write 5 negative sentences using the BE verb in the simple present tense.  Irene will assign the topic sentence.  (In-class activity:  Wed 1/24th — do not do before class!)
HOMEWORK 1:  Call Irene.  Practice leaving a voicemail message. (This is not a written assignment.  You have to talk!). Look at the example below:
