Details about this class

Bienvenidos to ED 224 - Foundations of Education!

I am Ceci de Valdenebro the instructor for this class. I am glad you are here!

ED 224 examines current and historical issues in U.S. education through multiple lenses, with a focus on systemic inequities. We will explore equity-centered practices and develop a personal philosophy of education through reflection and research.

In this class, we will build a learning community as we move through each module, connecting our values, experiences, and perspectives to our work.

This is a fully online course that offers flexibility. Staying engaged and checking in regularly will support your success. I’m here to help—please reach out or meet with me anytime.

We are a diverse community, and I expect all interactions to be grounded in respect, curiosity, and care.

Your well-being matters. If something is affecting your participation, please let me know so we can figure it out together.

Questions? Contact me at ceci.devaldenebro@pcc.edu

You are not alone in this—stay engaged and reach out when you need support.

Warmly,

Ceci
