Details about this class
Hi everyone, I’m Ceci de Valdenebro, your instructor—so glad you’re here!
ED 112 introduces a wide range of children’s literature, including authors, illustrators, and both classic and current works. We’ll explore genres, book awards, literary and artistic elements, and ways to engage students through discussion and different formats.
This is a 5-week course that meets on Zoom on Mondays from 2:00–5:00 pm. We’ll make our time together fun and meaningful as we read children’s books and learn how to design engaging lessons to teach different genres to students.
In this class, we’ll build a supportive learning community while working through each module. You’ll be invited to bring your experiences, values, and ideas into our conversations as we learn from one another and grow as educators.
I’m here to support you throughout the course—please don’t hesitate to reach out or connect with me if you need anything. I look forward to learning with you!
