Details about this class

WELCOME!  This course is where your internship, work, or volunteer experience -- when seen with a sociology lens -- earns PCC credit.

                       More Coop Ed info [link]

  • Begin the SOC 280A process by contacting (up to 1 month before the term starts) Coop Ed coordinator George Knox (gknox@pcc.edu) and instructor Andrew Butz (abutz@pcc.edu) to facilitate your enrollment. Student & instructor then meet two to three times per term (in-person or remote), to select site(s) for Coop Ed, to collaboratively create course learning objectives, and to discuss progress. The first meeting happens no later than mid-term.
  • While this course does not have prerequisites, registration requires instructor permission. And this, along with student success, happens best when students have previously studied some sociology either formally or informally.

"I look forward to collaborating with you for your Cooperative Education experience!"  Sincerely, ~ Andrew Butz

Technology

A webcam & microphone are needed for remote meeting(s) with instructor.
