Details about this class

The required textbook for this class is Experience Music (6th edition), by Katherine Charlton, and it will be available at the PCC Sylvania bookstore. All of the pertinent links, referenced below, will be provided at the beginning of the term.

You can choose to purchase a physical copy or an e-book, or to rent an e-book.

Physical copy:

If you purchase the book from the PCC Sylvania book store it will come with an access code to sign up for a Connect account, which we will be using to access our listening examples, as well as an electronic version of the book.

You are not required to purchase the version of the book with the access code, it is available to you so that you can have all of the listening examples in the same place. If you feel that you can find the listening examples another way then you are welcome to do that. You can also choose to purchase the book elsewhere, and then purchase the access code separately.

If you purchase an older edition of the book please note that the page numbers referred to within our course refer to the pages found in the 5th edition. Some of the required reading will have different page numbers in older editions of the book.

E-Book

In lieu of a physical copy you can also choose to purchase or rent an e-book by using the registration link (provided at the beginning of the term).
