Links to the textbook are provided here in the Free Full Version of Open Edu Resource Text Books, and links to the textbooks will also be provided in each weekly learning module as readings are assigned.

This course discusses concepts and practices of fundamental supervisory skills such as planning, staffing, communication, ethics, leadership, the impact of technology, training, conflict management, problem-solving, quality improvement, safety management, and performance reviews. This course is designed to learn the material and then apply the material.

For example, participants will critique the way their company performs employee performance reviews, plans and controls the work site, and practices quality control. By the end of the course, the participant should have a clear understanding of the major duties and responsibilities of supervision and increased skill in many management critical areas.
