ENG265 Literature of Social Protest

Develops an understanding of how the literature of social protest addresses issues of class oppression, economic inequality, racism, sexism, war, and peace. Engages theoretical questions about the relationship between politics and aesthetic expression, as well as the nature of literature in relation to social protest. Prerequisites: (WR 115 and RD 115) or IRW 115 or equivalent placement. Audit available. (See course content and outcomes.)
