Are you feeling overwhelmed by the pressures of college and life's demands?  This applied psychology course offers a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of your hectic schedule, guiding you through proven techniques to reduce stress and promote well-being. With a focus on practical, hands-on experiences, you'll learn to master breathing exercises, embrace the calming power of guided meditations, and participate in a supportive community.

There are no exams, and the classroom becomes a source of peace. Whether you're navigating deadlines, relationships, or future anxieties, this course is your first step towards a balanced, joyful, and stress-resilient life.

Please read about my class before registering to ensure it is the right class for you. 

This class is In-Person and Online; you can learn more about class types at PCC here. IN-PERSON, which means you must attend class on South East Campus every Monday from 3-4:20 pm from April 8 to May 20 (it is only 7 weeks). Attendance in this class is essential and required, you must attend at least 4 classes to pass. I use cooperative learning, which requires students to be present, engaged, and participate with cameras and microphones

For the online portion, you will complete an assignment due at the beginning of the following class. Assignments will include reading a brief article, practicing a strategy for stress management, and reflecting on your well-being and mental health. There are no research, papers, or quizzes.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.

Online Prerequisite | Start Guide for Online Learning

Before you take your first online class at PCC, you must complete the start guide for online learning. The start guide will help you decide if online classes are right for you. Once you complete the start guide, you will be eligible to register for online classes.

The Start Guide is not required for Remote classes but strongly recommended.
