Details about this class

This course introduces the principles and practices of Human Resource Management (HRM) and its role in supporting organizational strategy, workforce effectiveness, and inclusive workplaces. Students examine the employee life cycle, including job analysis and design, recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, performance management and evaluation, and training and development. The course emphasizes the legal, ethical, and equity-based framework of employment, including equal employment opportunity laws and inclusion practices. Through applied examples and analysis, students develop an understanding of how HR decisions influence organizational performance, employee behavior, fairness, and business outcomes.
