Details about this class

Welcome to BA 116! This is a fully online course and will not have regularly scheduled meetings. Please be prepared with your textbook and MS Word application on the first day of class, as we will get started with assignments the first week. Students should expect to spend at least 12 hours per week online working on this course.

Technology

Students must use Microsoft Word 365 in this class. A Chromebook will not work for this course.

MAC USERS:  If you are using a Mac you may have difficulty accessing some functions of the Microsoft Suite. My recommendation is to have access to and use a PC for this course. If you are using a Mac, it is recommended that you either have the dual-booting system (Partition) that runs a Microsoft Operating system or use PCC Splashtop access to complete this course. You will not have access to all of the Word features required without Partition or Splashtop. MAC users needing Splashtop must inform their instructor as soon as possible so they can request Splashtop access be granted from IT. For more information on Splashtop click the following link: https://www.pcc.edu/technology/services/splashtop/

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
