Details about this class

Hi, my name is Peter. My expertise is in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science. In addition to my work teaching classes at Portland Community College, I also work on a National Science Foundation grant. I'm excited to introduce you to the world of engineering problem solving!

This is an in-person and on-campus class at the Portland Community College Sylvania campus with scheduled class sessions. Our class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00am-11:50am in-person. There will also be virtual (or in-person) office hours by appointment.

This course, ENGR100, consists of worksheets, assignments, labs, and a multi-week project. This class will give you a solid introduction into what engineering is and what engineers do, as well as give you practice in some basic engineering skills through problem solving, working in teams, and learning to communicate like an engineer.
