Application materials
Required materials
Applications without all required materials will not be considered.
Phase I
Supplemental materials
Phase I
Upload the following materials with your AHCAS application (if they apply to your situation) during Phase I.
Phase II
Phase II participants will be required to complete the following:
AHCAS application
(required, all phases)
We process applications through a third-party service called AHCAS. You will complete your application as well as upload supporting documentation and official transcripts from all schools attended (including PCC) to the AHCAS system. Application deadline details can be found on the application page.
All email notifications will be sent to the email designated while creating your AHCAS account. Applicants are responsible for checking this email regularly throughout the admissions process. Appeals for missing a deadline will not be considered.
Evaluations and essay responses not required
AHCAS allows students to upload evaluation forms for their common application. PCC does not require and will not consider uploaded evaluations during the admissions evaluation process. Students only applying for the PCC Radiography program can choose the “I am not adding any evaluations” button to complete the evaluation section of their common application.
AHCAS also requires an essay response. PCC will not review or consider your essay response for admission to our Radiography program. If you are only applying to the PCC Radiography program, you can write a one-sentence response in the essay field to complete the required section of your AHCAS application. If you are applying to multiple schools through AHCAS, you are encouraged to check with each school to see if an evaluation or essay response is required for admission to their program.
Transcripts
(required, Phase I)
Applicants must submit official transcripts from all colleges attended, including PCC, directly to AHCAS.
Failure to submit all official transcripts to AHCAS will render an application ineligible. Only complete and verified applications submitted by the application deadline will be considered.
Ordering transcripts
All transcripts, including PCC transcripts, should be sent directly to AHCAS. Electronic PCC transcripts can be ordered (via Parchment) through MyPCC. For electronic transcript ordering details, please visit the PCC’s request a transcript page. Each transfer course is subject to review by the PCC Student Records Office, the Medical Imaging Department, and/or the Admissions Team to determine transfer equivalency.
Prior to applying, applicants should send transcripts from other institutions to PCC for an official evaluation.
- Student Records will evaluate lower-division collegiate coursework. Upper-division coursework is evaluated upon request. We do not recommend you ask Student Records to evaluate all your upper-division coursework, just the courses you intend to use as prerequisites for the Nursing program.
When to send transcripts
We recommend sending transcripts at least two weeks before the deadline. AHCAS takes 7-10 business days to post transcripts, and transcripts must be posted prior to the application deadline. See how to check transcript status.
If you are currently enrolled in prerequisite courses, we strongly recommend waiting until winter term grades have been posted before sending your transcript. For a detailed guide on sending transcripts, please visit the AHCAS transcript help center.
Schools with paper transcripts

Health Sciences Reasoning Test (HSRT-AD)
(required, Phase II participants only)
During the mandatory in-person orientation (please hold the entire day), applicants will complete the proctored HSRT-AD. The HSRT-AD is a critical thinking exam, which makes it difficult to study for. Most of the questions are situational and may have more than one correct answer. You can read more about the HSRT-AD on the Insight Assessment FAQ page under the “Testing and Administration” section. Applicants usually have 50 minutes to complete the exam and are assessed based on how they answer the questions rather than the completion of the test.
Learn more about preparing for the HSRT-AD.
Job shadowing
(required, Phase II participants only)
All invited applicants will be required to participate in an assigned job shadowing experience with one of our hospital affiliates prior to the panel interview. See the application timeline for the job shadowing deadline. No extensions will be given.
Applicants should treat this experience like it is a job interview – wear business casual attire with comfortable closed-toe shoes. Jeans, shorts, tank tops, open-toe shoes, and/or scrubs are not appropriate attire. Additional details will be provided to Phase II applicants during the mandatory orientation.
Panel interview
(required, Phase II participants only)
A prescheduled panel interview will take place at the Sylvania Campus. The interview is facilitated by imaging faculty members, PCC staff, and team members from our clinical partner locations. Interviews will be randomly assigned throughout the day (clear your schedule for the entire day). See the application timeline for the interview date.
Applicants are encouraged to practice their interviewing skills prior to the panel interview. To stand out in your interview, prepare to communicate your qualifications efficiently. Research the daily duties of a Radiologic Technologist, understand the rigorous expectations of both the educational program and the healthcare industry, and practice using concrete examples to demonstrate your skills in a short amount of time.
