Applications are evaluated on a 56-point scale. The PCC Admissions team will evaluate your application in Phase I using the criteria on this page. To be competitive, ensure your application is complete and all supporting documents are submitted by the deadline, as points are awarded for completeness.

Category Evaluation criteria Points possible
Prerequisite GPA Calculated based on your grades in BI 231Z, BI 232Z, BI 233Z, MP 111, and MTH 111Z or one of the approved math courses. Applicants must meet a minimum of a 3.0 prerequisite GPA.

  • 25 points: 3.67 – 4.00
  • 23 points: 3.33 – 3.66
  • 20 points: 3.20 – 3.32
  • 17 points: 3.15 – 3.19
  • 15 points: 3.00 – 3.14
25 points
Previous degree
  • 1 point: For completion of an international or domestic associate’s degree or higher by the end of PCC’s winter term.

PCC students
  • 1 point: For completing a degree or certificate earned at PCC.
  • 2 points: For taking credit classes at PCC in the last 2 years.
