The following awards have limited entry, which means you must apply for admission.

This program admits accepts 16 students every summer term. Ideal candidates will be able to clearly describe their career goals and demonstrate strong interest in the diesel repair field. The selection process is first-come, first-served.

How to apply

  1. Apply to PCC

    Applying to PCC is free and only takes a few minutes. Complete this step as soon as possible so you can start using PCC resources.

    Take prerequisites

    To see if you’ve met these prerequisites, follow the steps under plan your first term. The prerequisites depend on which degree or certificate you’re applying for:

    • Certificate or degree in Electric Power Generation Service:
      • MTH 65: Introductory Algebra, MTH 98: Math Literacy II, or any course for which MTH 65 is a prerequisite
      • WR 121: College Composition
    • Certificate in Diesel Service Technology:
      • MTH 20: Fundamentals of Mathematics
      • RD 90: Reading 90
