Instructor: Jen Orleow
Jen Orleow, MScN, DCN-c, is a licensed, Certified Nutritionist in Washington state. She earned a Master of Science in Nutrition from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, and is a doctoral candidate through the Maryland University of Integrative Health in Clinical Nutrition. She is passionate about the field of nutrition and empowering individuals to take control of their personal health and wellness journey and believes that a whole foods dietary approach has the potential to improve overall health and lower the risk of chronic disease. She honors that everybody is unique and therefore strives to tailor nutrition plans to meet the specific needs of each individual and to support their personal wellness goals.
While studying at the National University for Natural Medicine, Jen had the opportunity to receive additional training in culinary education through the Food as Medicine Institute and is a certified Food as Medicine Alliance member and educator. In addition to her credentials in nutrition, she earned a Master of Science in Sustainability from the University of London. Jen’s graduate studies have helped her to develop a deep appreciation and understanding of the unique balance between diet, health, and the environment.
In her spare time, she is an avid runner and endurance athlete and enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time outdoors with her husband, two kids, and dog Moses.
