Portland Community College’s Newberg Center (135 Werth Blvd) is open for summer term enrollment, marking the return of in-person courses at PCC’s Yamhill County facility. The center has continued serving students in remote operations throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Newberg Center will be offering 12 courses this summer, eight of which will be taught onsite beginning the week of June 27. The in-person offerings include for-credit art and literature classes as well as college preparatory and introductory courses in math, writing, and geography.

“Although Newberg Center continued to offer classes online during the last two years, we also heard from members in the community how much they missed the opportunity to take classes face-to-face,” said Newberg Center Director Lynn Montoya Quinn. “We’ve missed our community too and look forward to reconnecting and welcoming everyone back this summer.”

Located on the corner of Brutscher Street and Werth Boulevard, the Newberg Center’s doors officially reopen on June 14, two weeks before classes begin.
