BEAVERTON, Ore. – Throwing a party can be stressful enough without having to spend the entire time in the kitchen preparing food. Portland Community College offers students a one-night, non-credit class designed to move them out of the kitchen without compromising on delicious recipes.

Show-Stopping Party Food will show you how to make event-quality recipes and make it look easy. Instructor Mimi Martin will demonstrate caramelized onion tarts, roasted peppers with pine nuts and capers, coppa with parsley potatoes and prosciutto, and fig and goat cheese.

The one-day class will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. on Wednesday, April 12, at Cedar Park Middle School, 11100 S.W. Parkway St. Cost is $35.
