PORTLAND, Ore. – Want to be your own boss, but not sure what kind of business to start? Portland Community College will offer a non-credit class to help you keep your New Year’s resolution and finally launch a home-based business.25 Hot Home-Based Businesses will offer students the chance to explore 25 profitable ideas from start up to regular income stream. Instructor Steve Veltkamp will show you the ropes: Students will walk out of class knowing what is required to get started, how to tap a market niche, and a complete, personal action plan to get started."Whether you’re just looking to make some extra income, or you’re ready to step completely out of the 8-to-5 box, I will help you get ready to take on your goals,"said Veltkamp. "These are home-based business ideas that really work."The one-day class will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, in the College Center Cedar Room at the PCC Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $34.
