PCC Offers ?Piano for Busy People' Workshop

SYLVANIA CAMPUS – Portland Community College is hosting a three-hour course for adults who want to learn piano the easy, pain-free way either as beginners or for the second time around.Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People will have students playing all their favorite songs, including music for the holidays, in no time. The workshop will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 11 in the Cedar Room of the CC Building at the Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. The tuition is $12 and a $25 fee is due at class to the instructor for a CD and workbook.Instructor Donn Rochlin (a professional musician, composer, and educator for over eighteen years) will demonstrate how to get more out of sheet music by reading less of it, and promises that each student who completes the workshop will be able to play any tune with both hands the very first week. Students take home lots of musical information they can use immediately without a big investment in time and money.
