PCC Course Examines Buddhist Philosophies

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Community College will present an opportunity to uncover the mysteries of Buddhism and how to incorporate its philosophy in everyday living this summer through a non-credit course.Instructor Jerry Pardo will look at enlightenment, life and death cycles, and the Buddhist view of true happiness through an examination of Buddhist history and interactive class discussion.The Buddha in Daily Life class will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays, June 25 through Aug. 13, in Room SCB 103 of PCC’s Sylvania Campus, 12000 S.W. 49th Ave. Cost is $48.
