Qi Gong Meditation – Teaches Focus Through Body Movement

NEWBERG/SHERWOOD, Ore. – Portland Community College will offer two non-credit courses in Qi Gong Meditation this spring in Newberg and Sherwood. Students will discover the ancient method of moving energy within the body to regulate and balance the Qi, the Chinese word for life force. Instructor JoAnn Albrecht will demonstrate simple Qi Gong techniques to develop a healthy body, attain mental stability and promote spiritual growth. Students learn at their own pace through a supportive environment. A daytime class will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays, April 4 through May 23, at the Sherwood Senior Center, 855 N. Sherwood Blvd. The evening course will be offered from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturdays, April 6 through May 25, at the PCC Newberg Center, 301 N. Elliott Road.
